Here is one of their new “policies,” slated to go into effect next month:
Personal Account Receiving Limits
Notice Date: September 30, 2004
Effective Date: November 5, 2004
Beginning November 5, 2004, PayPal will reduce the amount of e-commerce payments that Personal account holders in the U.S., U.K., and Canada are able to receive per month. For U.S. customers, the Personal account receiving limit will be reduced from $1,000.00 USD to $500.00 USD. Only e-commerce payments received from eBay, auction, or website sales will count toward the receiving limit.
Not to worry. At the rate the site is going now (intermittent outages since Friday), we’ll all be lucky if even that much money manages to sneak through each month. Yeesh.
